Description
In addition to cultural differences and language barriers, international students in particular often experience “surprises” when they switch to the job market after their studies in Germany. This can lead to uncertainty and dissatisfaction on both sides (employee and employer), even though neither party has the intention to do so. It is therefore important to dispel these misunderstandings.
Learning objectives
Participants acquire basic knowledge of the German social security system in which employees subject to social security contributions operate. They will be given an overview of the benefits of the individual insurance schemes and how to apply for them if necessary. They will acquire knowledge of the usual regulations of employment contracts with German companies and the statutory employee entitlements.
