Kathrin Keune, kunstorientierter Coach/Beraterin (M.A. in ExpressiveArtsTherapy/Coaching,B.A.inPsychologie)und Mezzosopranistin arbeitet seit vielen Jahren in der Karriereentwicklung mit Studenten und Professoren der Wissenschaften.

Hier begleitet sie die Soft Skill Entwicklung, die sowohl zur eigenen Karrieresteuerung als auch zum Management untergeordneter Supervisees wichtig ist. Von Vorträgen über Workshops in unterschiedlicher Länge bis hin zu individuellem 

Coaching deckt sie das volle Spektrum an Methodik ab, um Entwicklung sowohl individuell als auch in Gruppensettings zu fördern und langfristig zu verankern. Die Themen erstrecken sich von Professioneller Kommunikation, Führung, Konfliktmanagement, über Kreativität und Innovation bis hin zur Frauenförderung im Wissenschaftsbereich.

Das Besondere: Ihr systemischer Blick und ihr kreativer Hintergrund bedingen einen sehr vielschichtigen und vor allem nachhaltigen Ansatz. Zudem kommt ihre 6-jährige Labormanagementposition in dem Grundlagenforschungslabor von Dr. Barbara Ranscht am Burnham Institute, La Jolla, USA (2005 – 20011), welche ihr tiefe Einblicke in die täglichen Aufgaben und Vorgänge eines Wissenschaftlers ermöglichten.

Ihr Portfolio wird ergänzt durch langjährige Beratung/Coaching von Führungskräften der Sozialbranche, mit denen sie Unternehmensführung und Veränderungsprozesse erfolgreich und innovativ zu meistern versteht. Durch ihre internationale Erfahrung und die Gründung ihres amerikanischen Personalentwicklungsunternehmens hat sie einen vielschichtigen Blick auf die Problematiken von Führungskräften erlangt. Ihre Nebenkarriere als Mezzosopranistin bringt eine ungewöhnlich offene und spielerische Klangfarbe ins Coaching.

Careerplanning and Strategies to Build your Career

There are two directions a researcher could go towards in choosing a career: A career in the industry or a career in academia. In order to make an informed decision which career path suits me best, I need to reflect on my preferences, to learn about my strengths and weaknesses and to discover possibilities and challenges of each career path.

In this workshop we take a first step to reflect on the individual situation: Why have I become a scientist? What motivates me? What is challenging and difficult in my job as a researcher? Based on these reflections, the participants shed light on their strengths and weaknesses. This leads to the development of a future vision of the perfect job position, suitable to the individual needs and desires. This vision will be put into a realistic contextof available options.

In the second part of the workshop, the participants develop both, their performance and presence in application processes as well as the self-presentation and self-marketing content and procedures that establish oneself in the field. Concerning creating a convincing presence and performance, body language and the use of voice play a crucial part. Through practical exercises, there participants reach an insight how to develop their potential further towards an optimal performance. Application material can be sighted and commented on.

Method

The art-oriented approach of Artsbased Solutions leads to active shaping of experiences that lay the ground work for a better understanding of one’s behaviour and the design of solutions. Through creative processes, improvisations and concrete practice, the participants will be coaxed into personal growth and learning based on embodied reflection. New perspectives emerge, tools are being understood based on experience and a practical preparation for daily work situations can be developed. These processes happen in a safe, non-judgemental environment.
