Today's university landscape is characterized by a high level of diversity.

The age structure of students, academics and employees varies. The generation change in science and in companies is imminent. A great opportunity to create gender equality.

Gender and diversity competence at universities and in companies includes recognizing the potential for diversity, as well as raising awareness of racist and sexist “attributions” or assaults. It is important to build bridges in the diversity context. A contemporary way of working together means focusing on people, discarding and preventing discrimination, clichés and prejudices.

In addition to providing an overview of gender and diversity concepts and gender and diversity issues, the seminar also teaches how to deal with stereotyping and ascribed social differences, including sexual harassment. Gender-related areas of conflict and power mechanisms at universities and in companies are examined.
